The 3-Minute Busy Mom Routine with Charmaine Seah-Ong
Mornings are hectic; between eating breakfast and getting ready for the day, everything seems to take up so much time no matter how early you wake up. Throw in your kids and getting ready gets even harder. A 10-step Korean skincare routine might be essential to getting that glow, but when you’re a mom on the go, it’s not realistic. BEAUBIT speaks to 37-year-old Charmaine Seah-Ong (@eleventhour), working mother of two, for her go-to and easy busy mom routine.
Charmaine is as busy as anyone can get. Besides running the marketing and branding agency Elementary Co. that she founded with her husband 7 years ago, she is also a mom to her two daughters Charlie Rose and Dahlia Jaymes.
The Busy Mom Routine
Charmaine actually splits her morning beauty routine into two; she does the first before sending her daughter to school, which involves Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser (SGD35), Origins’ Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Eye Cream (SGD83), and Allies of Skin’s Molecular Multi-Nutrient Day Cream (SGD151).
After that and some breakfast, she gets ready for the day proper, starting with the Clarins Double Serum (SG125) and Plant Gold Nutri-Revitalising Oil-Emulsion (SGD110). She seals it all in with sunscreen. “It sounds like such a long routine, but it makes me feel good and ready to face the day,” she says.
If she’s rushing out the door, only the essentials go on— moisturizer, sunscreen, the YSL Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow Primer (SGD86), Chanel’s Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint (available in Chanel boutiques) and the Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk (SGD30). When asked what beauty product she can’t leave the house without, she says, without a doubt, sunscreen. “Always sunblock. And only SPF50 or higher. I tan so easily!”
Charmaine’s skincare tip: “Drinks lots and lots of water and always remember your sun protection!”
